TrueGrass is a Bluegrass band in the old style,
covering material by the classic
bands of old with reverence,
but also adapting modern material and originals
to the bluegrass idiom.
The band was formed as part of a multimedia theatre show
about
the rural roots and history of bluegrass.
TrueGrass! features Tom playing guitar,
clawhammer
banjo and fronting lead
vocals.
Jed Malischke
plays banjo and dobro,
with Bruce Qualey on bass, and Carol McDowall on fiddle.
